Where it started

Alpaca History

Bedford Falls Farm began in 1998, when Doug and Nancy Rondeau established an alpaca farm rooted in a love for these remarkable animals. Through dedicated care, thoughtful breeding, and years of hands-on experience, they earned national recognition for their award-winning alpacas.

As alpaca farming gained momentum across the country, Doug and Nancy helped shape a growing agricultural movement. They raised awareness of alpacas as beautiful, gentle livestock, sharing their appreciation for the animals and helping others discover the rewards of raising them.

Today, Bedford Falls Farm is beginning a new chapter as a flower farm and future agritourism destination. What started with alpacas is evolving through lavender, plans for peonies and honey, and a vision for a farm store in the old homestead. At its heart, the farm continues to reflect the care, dedication, and connection to the land that Doug and Nancy established in 1998.

Our Mission

Our mission is to grow Bedford Falls Farm into a welcoming flower farm and agritourism destination—a place where people can slow down, connect with nature, and celebrate life’s special moments.

Beginning with our first lavender field in 2026, we’re planting the foundation for a colorful future.

In 2027, we plan to add wildflowers, peonies, and honeybees, bringing more blooms and life to the farm.

As the farm grows, our vision is to welcome visitors for memorable days among the flowers and offer a beautiful setting for photography sessions, intimate weddings, and small gatherings.

Through each new chapter, we aim to preserve the farm’s character while sharing its beauty with our community.
